Implementation Support Strategy for Municipal Projects to Recognise and Enhance the Operation of Socially-dominated Land Markets

This document is the final report of a three month research project undertaken by Isandla Institute in collaboration with Urban LandMark. The project builds on the findings of the study "The Operation of the Urban Land Market: How the Poor Access, Hold and Trade Land" which was completed in 2007. The project aims to develop a set of practical proposals for municipal interventions that make urban land markets work better for the poor, and in particular, recognise and enhance socially-dominated (or "informal" or "extra-legal") land markets.
